LANDMINE & ERW PROBLEM
The mines problem in Jordan emerged as a result of the Arab-Israeli conflict in 1967 and the civil war in 1970.
Jordan began mine clearance in 1993 and is now considered a country free of mines, but not explosive cluster munitions and other remnants of war.
AMACC implemented many projects in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the most important of which were the following:
- EORE project on the dangers of mines and remnants of war for Syrian refugees in refugee camps and other governorates, supported by the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Cooperative Development Program through the ITF Fund
- EORE program on the dangers of mines through football, supported by SOS Spirit of Soccer Organization.
